Let's take a look at the roster that the brand-new GM (me) has inherited following last year's 40-42 team:

POS. PLAYER AGE OVR

PG Tyler Herro 25 88

PG Davion Mitchell 26 78

PG Terry Rozier III 31 75

PG Dru Smith 27 73

PG Isaiah Stevens 24 68

SG Duncan Robinson 31 77

SG Alec Burks 33 76

SG Pelle Larsson 24 75

SG Josh Cristopher 23 70

SF Andrew Wiggins 30 81

SF Jaime Jaquez Jr 24 76

SF Haywood Highsmith 28 75

PF Bam Adebayo 27 89

PF Kyle Anderson 31 77

PF Nikola Jovic 21 77

PF Keshad Johnson 23 69

C Kel’el Ware 21 80

C Kevin Love 36 76

Owner: Micky Arison

General Manager: R3DBARZ (user)

Asst. GM: Pat Riley (took a lesser role)

CFO: OPEN

Head Coach: Erik Spoelstra

Head Scout: OPEN

Team Doctor: Kelly Bradley

Roster Breakdown: After trading away franchise star G Jimmy Butler to the GS Warriors last season, it is time to really evaluate how this roster is constructed. The Heat have some veteran leadership through F Andrew Wiggins and G Duncan Robinson, while also possessing a young core of G Tyler Herro and F Bam Adebayo. If this team is to truly rebuild, look for the brand-new General Manager to make moves before the NBA Draft, during NBA Free Agency, and throughout Season 1. I’d say nobody is truly safe, as many guys have only one year left on their deals so now is the time to move them if the new GM doesn’t see them in the long-term picture.
