With the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors entering their second bye week, after ripping off four straight wins to bring their record to a respectable 6-1, now is as good of a time as any to check in with the program.
OVERVIEW
HC Manti Te’o made sure to hit the tape and make improvements after the first bye week, with his impressive coaching staff, and the Rainbow Warriors are on an impressive five game winning streak as they enter their second bye week. With wins over Boise State and #19 Liberty, this Rainbow Warriors team is clicking. They have five games left on their schedule, with the most difficult coming on the road against Louisville and at home against BYU the following week, but it wouldn’t be crazy if the Rainbow Warriors continued this newfound success and wound up in a good Bowl Game.
When it comes to recruiting, the Rainbow Warriors have landed some verbal commitments from four local Hawai’i prospects, but they have a lot more scheduled for official visits, and they aren’t all from Hawai’i. Now, it is going to be hard to land anything higher than a three-star prospect in the first year, but if HC Te’o and the Rainbow Warriors can continue winning and developing then there’s no doubt this Rainbow Warriors’ program will be a destination for prospects in the future.
