Larkdight Studios Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors' Program Rebuild (Season 1) July 22, 2025 5:00PM CST

With the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors wrapping up the regular season with a much improved 10-2 record, let’s take a look at where they stand as a program before heading into the Mountain West Championship game in a rematch against Fresno State (9-3).

OVERVIEW

Since the last update, the Rainbow Warriors did drop their second game of the season at home against Fresno State but then went on a four-game winning streak to finish the season. The games were a lot closer in the back half of the schedule than the first half, but wins are wins and that’s why HC Manti Te’o has his Rainbow Warriors’ team in the MAC Championship. Now, I don’t think that they’ll make the College Football Playoffs if they win, but they definitely will be in a Bowl Game (win or lose). Regardless, what a first season for HC Te’o and the Rainbow Warriors’ program.

The Rainbow Warriors have begun to rack up the verbal commitments for 2026, adding 11 more to give them a total of 15 verbal commitments for next season. It seems that HC Te’o can recruit the hell out of defense, landing two four-star prospects – ED Leati Tautu (HI) and S Terrelle Larocque (HI). Outside of that, the Rainbow Warriors have found some really good talent with QB Kameel Ramsey (3*)(AZ), RB Demarcus Hawkinson (3*)(TX), WR Jayvon Etling (3*)(TX), DT Malachi Bakhtiari (3*)(LA), and ED Tyrone Anthrop (3*)(CA). I’m sure if they can avenge their loss to Fresno State in the MAC Championship game and play well in a Bowl Game, both nationally televised, that they will land even more recruits before the season is over.
