With the Iowa State Cyclones wrapping up the regular season with a perfect 12-0 record, let’s take a look at where they stand as a program before heading into the Big 12 Championship and eventual College Football Playoffs berth.
OVERVIEW
Since the last update, the Cyclones continued their winning ways and rattled off another five wins in a row. They dominated in most of the games but really came down to the wire in the final regular season game against the Kansas State Wildcats, escaping with a 31-28 win. Nonethless, the Cyclones are going to the Big 12 Championship game against the #2 Arizona Wildcats in first-year HC Axel Armani’s first season.
HC Armani has now landed a total of six recruits, two of which are five-star prospects. It isn’t the most elite class so far, but if the Cyclones can win the Big 12 and go on a run in the CFP it will really help with final commitments and the Transfer Portal. For now, recruiting will be put on hold as the Cyclones gear up for the Big 12 Championship.
