The Miami Heat have officially released their 2025-26 Schedule!

(To preface, for purposes of time, energy, and resources I have condensed the schedule down to 14 games per season. This will allow me to work through seasons at a quicker rate, while not growing to be a chore doing these NBA 2K Series. Record will reflect a full season, in Season 1, but I will adjust this in future seasons.)

According to the schedule, the Heat will kick off the new season at home against the New York Knicks, before heading on the road to face the Brooklyn Nets and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Expectations are very mid for this Miami Heat team that is clearly in the middle of a rebuild. They did acquire F Cooper Flagg with the number one overall pick so it shouldn’t be a complete wash of a season, but they’re still most likely a year or two away from anything more than a fringe play-in tournament team.

Early projections have the Heat finishing the season at 8-6 (47-35), which should put them right around the play-in tournament seeding in the East. This season won’t be about record though; it will be all about the crucial development of rookies F Cooper Flagg and G Walter Clayton Jr.

Dates and times for all games are below:

  • NBA Playoffs' Play-In Game – Sat, Jul 26 3:00PM CST (winner advances) – TBD

  • NBA Playoffs (Round 1) – Mon, Jul 28 3:00PM - 6:00PM CST (Best of 3) – TBD

  • NBA Playoffs (Round 2 Quarterfinals) – Tue, Jul 29 3:00PM - 8:00PM CST (Best of 5) – TBD

  • NBA Playoffs (Eastern Conference Finals) – Wed, Jul 30 3:00PM - 10:00PM CST (Best of 7) – TBD

  • 2025 NBA Finals – Thu, Jul 31 3:00PM - 10:00PM CST (Best of 7) – TBD

The Miami Heat are expected to finish around the 12th or 13th spot in the East, which would mostly likely put them out of contention for the NBA Playoffs or Play-In Game, but that's alright because they're in the midst of a rebuild and are looking to develop the rookies and find the necessary pieces to build around them.
