With the Washington Huskies entering their second bye week only two weeks after the first one, might as well take a moment to check back in on the program on the heels of an exciting Homecoming week game against the Cal Bears.

OVERVIEW

Not a whole lot more to share since the first bye week, but there is a lot of National buzz picking up around this Huskies’ program and their new HC Ja’Varr Jackson Jr. With winning comes noise, but he doesn’t want the team to shy away from it at all. In fact, he has been campaigning aloud for RB Jonah Coleman to win the Heisman. It’s early yet, but Coleman certainly is in the running.

When it comes to recruiting, HC Jackson Jr hasn’t been able to lock anyone up quite yet but there are a handful of prospects coming to visit to see what the future of Washington football looks like. He is confident that once they get inside the campus, get around the team and the facilities, and watch a game in Husky Stadium there’s no other option than committing.
