Welcome to the first season of the Colorado Buffaloes’ Program Rebuild, inside of College Football ’25! If you have been following along to me, you will know that I am one of the best at College Football Rebuilds. I have done three College Football Program Rebuilds so far with the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (won National Championship in second season), San Jose State Spartans (lost to Nevada in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl) and the UAB Blazers (lost to Georgia in the first round of the CFP). I will currently be working on rebuilding the Colorado Buffaloes, Florida Gators, and Washington Huskies this go around.

Just like all of my rebuilds, there is a new Head Coach taking over the program and his name is Deion Sanders. He has brought his two talented sons Shedeur and Shiloh – and the elite two-way weapon in Travis Hunter to Boulder, Colorado, and the hype is out of this world. Love him or hate him, HC Primetime Deion Sanders is certainly big time in everything he does and wherever he goes. Let’s see if the hype is worth it. What’s realistic? Can the Colorado Buffaloes truly flip their program right around and win a National Championship behind Hall-of-Famer Deion Sanders and his boys? Only time will tell. Many believe Deion is only using the social media buzz and provocative marketing to leverage his way into landing either the Florida State Seminoles’ or Dallas Cowboys head coaching gig. Regardless, he’ll have to win no matter what.

Like all my rebuilds, I like to set three-year goals that the program needs to reach in order for the rebuild to be deemed a success. Here are those goals:

• Have at least 2 winning seasons (0/2)

• Recruit a Top 15 Class (0/1)

• Have 2 players drafted (0/2)

• Win 3 College Football Awards (0/3)

• Win the Coach of the Year Award (0/1)

• Win the National Championship (0/1)

• Land at least 3 5* Recruits (0/3)

• Reach #1 in the AP Polls (0/1)
