Welcome to Season 1 of my Kansas Jayhawks’ Rebuild, inside of College Football ’26! What an insane year last year was for me and my YouTube channel. I think it’s fair to say that you all have helped my rise to the top as one of the best College Football Rebuilders on the platform! This series, the first ever I’m doing inside of the newly released College Football ’26, marks the eighth official college football rebuild for me!

Just like all seven of my rebuilds that came before this one, there is a brand-new Head Coach taking over the program and his name is Bill Self. In a surprising move by the Athletic Department at Kansas, they have turned over the football program to their basketball coach and he will now run both. There are so many questions being raised about this move, but what does Bill Self have on the Kansas Jayhawks’ Athletic Department that they would even allow this to happen? Regardless, there’s no real way to gauge if this is going to pay off or not. Let’s just hope some more truth comes out so this isn’t the weirdest story looming over all of College Football this entire season.

Here are the three-year goals for this rebuild to be deemed a success:

• Have three winning seasons (0/3)

• Out-recruit in-state rival Kansas State every year (0/3)

• Beat Kansas State every year (0/3)

• Win three College Football awards (0/3)

• Win Coach of the Year (0/1)

• Win at least two bowl games (0/2)

• Win at least two B12 Championships (0/2)

• Win at least one CF Playoffs game (0/1)

• Recruit a top 10 class (0/1)

• Land at least 5 5* recruits (0/5)

• Have at least 5 players drafted (0/5)

• Reach #5 in the AP Polls (0/1)
