Larkdight Studios UNC Tar Heels' Program Rebuild (Season 1) September 1, 2025 3:00PM CST

The North Carolina Tar Heels will kick off Season 1 at home against the TCU Horned Frogs, September 2nd. It’s going to be great seeing HC Bill Belichick on the sideline once again, but we also don’t know what to expect from him as a college coach.
Outside of maybe Clemson and Duke, this seems like a very favorable schedule for the Tar Heels in the first season of this rebuild. It may prove to be a really good launching point for this program moving forward.
Dates and times for all games are below:
Week 1 – Tue, Sep 4 73:00PM CST – vs TCU (Season/Home Opener)
Week 2 – Wed, Sep 5 7:00PM CST – @ Charlotte
Week 3 – Thu, Sep 6 3:00PM CST – vs Coastal Carolina
Week 4 – Bye Week
Week 5 – Mon, Sep 8 3:00PM CST – @ Bowling Green
Week 6 – Tue, Sep 11 7:00PM CST – vs Clemson
Week 7 – Wed, Sep 12 7:00PM CST – @ California
Week 8 – Thu, Sep 14 11:00AM CST – vs Virginia (Homecoming)
Week 9 – Bye Week
Week 10 – Mon, Sep 15 3:00PM CST – @ Syracuse
Week 11 – Tue, Sep 18 7:00PM CST – vs Stanford
Week 12 – Wed, Sep 19 3:00PM CST – @ Wake Forest
Week 13 – Thu, Sep 20 7:00PM CST – vs Duke (Senior Night)
Week 14 – Fri, Sep 21 11:00AM CST – @ NC State
The Tar Heels are a really hard team to evaluate until we really get to see them. Many believe that HC Belichick can’t hang in college, while others believe that this team is going to be a sleeper contender in the ACC. It wouldn’t be crazy to think that this year’s team can finish the season 9-3. But would that be good enough to make the ACC Championship game over say Miami, Louisville, SMU, or Duke?
