Welcome to Season 1 of my North Carolina Tarheels’ Rebuild, inside of College Football ’26! I am proud to say that this is officially my tenth rebuild to date. It’s coming off the heels of Season 4’s Missouri State Bears and Kansas Jayhawks’ rebuilds. Those two were my first-ever CF26 rebuilds, and they both went pleasantly well, ending in a 13-1 season for the MSU Bears and a 15-2 National Championship ending for the KAN Jayhawks. Those series will both continue in the near future, but for now we shift gears toward Season 5’s content where I will be focusing on only one rebuild as well as making a 2025 Championship Chase with the LSU Tigers.

Like all of my rebuilds, there is a brand-new Head Coach taking over the program and for the Tarheels it seems only right that it is with their current Hall of Fame HC Bill Belichick. Now, I will be creating a coach for this and starting at level one for two reasons – Coach Belichick isn’t actually in the game, and he’s never coached College Football before, so we don’t actually know how good or bad he’ll be. We are going to find out.

Here are the three-year goals for this rebuild to be deemed a success:

• Have two winning seasons (0/2)

• Out-recruit Clemson at least once in three years (0/1)

• Beat protected rival Duke every year (0/3)

• Win three College Football awards (0/3)

• Win Coach of the Year (0/1)

• Win at least two bowl games (0/2)

• Win at least one ACC Championship (0/1)

• Make it to at least one National Championship (0/1)

• Recruit a top 10 class (0/1)

• Land at least 5 5* recruits (0/5)

• Have at least 5 players drafted (0/5)

• Reach #5 in the AP Polls (0/1)
